In addition to the return on the investment the investor can anticipate return of the investment at the sale of the property. Typical property hold periods are between 5 to 7 years. Return estimates takes into consideration a variety of internal and external factors. Analysis of each particular deal would need to be considered to determine a specific target Internal Rate of Return.
